Westwood "The Hub of the Pascack Valley" is a friendly and bustling downtown that provides goods and services as well as many fine eateries for it's residents and surrounding communities. Excellent school system which includes the Westwood Jr & Sr High School and a complete range of recreation for all age levels are provided by the Westwood Recreation Department and make it a wonderful family town. Some of the highlights are summer concerts in the park, Chamber of Commerce Sidewalk Sale, Art in the Park, Home for the Holidays Parade and Celebration of Tree Lighting, and Westwood Pride Day celebration.
Public Transportation plays a major role in the ease for commuters. The NJ Transit Train Line is the Pascack Valley Line and runs north and south to the Hoboken Terminal and connects to the Secaucus Junction Station. Rockland Coaches also operates in Westwood to complete a full range of Public Transportation.
